about Heavy Light works
Heavy Light Works is a Neon and Retro Lighting design house and metal fabrication shop located on Whidbey Island, about 30 miles north of Seattle, Washington. In addition to accepting commissions for specialty neon lighting for homes and businesses, we design and manufacture one-of-a-kind Neon Art pieces for sale anywhere in the United States or Canada. We are a UL Listed-shop, meaning that our lighting designs meet specifications as outlined by Underwriter Laboratories; lights are tested and certified to meet the highest standards for safety and functionality. Our lead designer is Neon and Light Artist Tim Leonard, who uses traditional methods of bending and shaping neon tubes and metal by hand or with tools that have been used for generations. Each piece from Heavy Light Works is either UL Listed or can be tested and certified to receive UL certification. Each piece from Heavy Light Works is either one-of-a-kind, or one of a short series of pieces. When you purchase or commission a neon or vintage-style bulb light, you are buying a unique item that will never be duplicated. Though we will accept commissions, Tim and the team prefer to make speculative, art pieces that are 100% unique. Our showroom is located inside of The Machine Shop, a Vintage Pinball and Video Arcade in Langley, Washington; a small, waterfront village on Whidbey Island.
